SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Self & Environment

Social Responsibility refers to the Importance of an individual with respect to the environment.

It is a duty every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems.
Our every action or decision matters, so as a responsible human being we should never harm the society or the environment and must benefit the whole of society.
Social responsibility must be intergenerational since the actions of one generation have consequences on those following.

Social Responsibility involves diverse cultures, ethics, values, lifestyle, society structure and norms, etc.

CULTURE

Culture is the characteristics or the 'way of life' of groups of people, meaning the way they do things - the behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept and follow.

It encompasses language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.

It means following of one kind or another for many years together.

Culture defines an individual as of ,what we like, what we believe in and not, what we eat, what we wear, how we dress, how we behave, what we follow, how we greet others, etc., or we can say what and how we have adopted in ourselves since years.

DIVERSE CULTURES

Diverse cultures means the existence of variety of cultural groups within a society.

It includes variety and diversity in food/habits, clothing, shelter, architecture, aesthetics, etc.

It is about respecting and acknowledging the existence of diverse groups in a society. It is to appreciate and respect each other's talents and preferences, values,
ethics, behavior, rituals etc.

Culture gives rise to Lifestyle.

LIFESTYLE

"The way or a style of living".

It is composed of the ideas, customs, interests, and social behavior of an individual, group or society.

It reflects an individual's identity - way of life, values, attitude, personality, etc.

The nature of the society in which a person resides also affects his/her lifestyle.

SOCIETY STRUCTURES

Society - Group of people

Society structure is the organized arrangement of an institution or a society where human beings interact and live together.

It includes family, religion, education, media, law, politics, and economy.

All the members in a society are interrelated and interdependent and together help compose the overarching social structure of a society.
It organizes our social relationships to others and create patterns of social relations when viewed on a large scale.

IDENTITY AND IMAGE

It is the concept of internal makeup v/s external projection.

It refers to the contrast in what we are and what we portray.

Inner beauty reflects the personality of a person, his/her opinions, views, likes/dislikes, etc. In short, it reflects what is in the heart.
On the other hand, Outer beauty is what one portrays to the society. It is where mind takes place, and the person decides, pretend, manipulate and then reflect. It is the fake personality of a  person.
In today's time, people are more concerned of external beauty and give time to improvise it.

It is like dominance of one's appearance against the inner beauty.
